ORGANISATIONS WITHIN THE CHURCH
| The Kirk Session:- is the body responsible for the day to day running of our Church and is divided into six groups for tasking:- The groups being Worship,Pastoral, Mission. Stewardship, Finance, and Education. |
| The Congregational Board:-Is responsible for all non pastoral affairs and takes care of; Church Property, Manse Porperty, Stewardship and Finance also Social issues. Our board consists of 16 Elders and 16 Elected members of the congregation. |
| The Sunday School:- Our Sunday School meets during the Sunday Morning Service. The children join with the adults at 11.00 a.m. in the Church and after the Family Time part of our Service,where they enjoy the participation involved, they then leave for their own activities which usually continue the theme of the service. |

The Guild- Formerly known as the Woman's Guild but now welcoming all church members-serves the Church at home and abroad. They have a varied syllabus throughout the year,raising much needed funds for their annual projects. They meet on Thursdays at 2.30p.m. in the Church Hall,Hanover Street. |
| MUSIC IN THE HIGH KIRK Organist and Choirmaster: SANDY MacPHERSON: MA(Mus), BSc, FRSA, FGMS The Choir - The High Kirk has a robed choir of 20 voices,whose role is to lead the praise at Sunday morning services throughout the year and introits and anthems are sung regularly. Should you wish to be involved in the Choir please come along you will be made very welcome. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at 7.30 p.m. from September to April, and short pre-service rehearsals take place every Sunday at 10.30am For further information please contact the organist. THE SOUTH EAST COWAL SINGERS: The High Kirk is the home of The South East Cowal Singers(conductor Sandy MacPherson;accompanist Ian Davies), a choir of over forty voices drawn mainly, but not exclusively, from the linked congregations of the charge of South East Cowal. The choir provides music for special occasions and for the main festivals of the Christian year. PRAISE SERVICES: "Songs of Praise" services normally take place four times in the year( in the evening of Communion Sundays) and also on the Sunday evening at the conclusion of the annual Flower Festival. HYMNARY: The hymnary in use at the High Kirk is the Church Hymnary, Fourth Edition(CH4), introduced to the congregation in September 2005. |
| Walking Group- This group meets every second Sunday at 01.30p.m.weather permitting. The groupconsists of walkers of varied ability and the walks are well attended. . If rambling is your "scene" do join in. The environs of Dunoon and district abound with spectacular walks at all levels. Some of the views are breath-taking. |
