CLOCK TOWER
In 1840, when the bell tower was heightened, a clock was gifted to the church and village for the use of inhabitants. This is one of the few gravity clocks remaining and it is wound weekly. The south face of the clock, which looks down the Firth, is brown and unlit at night- so that it will not interfere with the navigation of shipping on the Clyde.
